When we read about the kings in the Old Testament, it’s easy to see where they went wrong. But I wonder how often we recognise the same struggles in ourselves?

This November, we’ll be looking at the lives of Saul, David, Solomon, and Hezekiah. There’s a lot we can learn from their stories, including things we might not be comfortable admitting about ourselves.

And as we approach Christmas, we’ll see why God’s people needed someone greater than any of these kings: Jesus Christ, the King God had promised!

BCPC Christmas Carols – Joy! He Shall Reign

Christmas is a time of joy, but have you ever wondered what makes it so special?

At the heart of Christmas is the good news that Jesus Christ, the promised King, has come into our world. His birth brings hope to a world that desperately needs it, and gives us a reason to rejoice.

This Christmas, we warmly invite you, your family, and your friends to join us at Burwood Community Presbyterian Church for an afternoon of Christmas carols, fun, and fellowship as we celebrate the birth of Jesus together.

There will be something for everyone to enjoy, including a special puppet show by Chris Elkington from ELK PUPPETS, face painting, a portrait studio, animal farms, balloon twisting, games, and plenty of food and drinks.

Whether you have been coming to church for years, haven’t been for a while, or have never stepped inside a church before, we would love to welcome you.

Come and celebrate Christmas with us as we remember the birth of Jesus, the King who came to save us.
