About the story…
Welcome! We are so glad to have you here with us as we gather to reflect on the most powerful moment in human history—the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Easter is not just a story; it is the cornerstone of our faith, a message of hope, redemption, and new life.
As the play unfolds, you’ll notice that the bilingual subtitles include prompts and references to many Bible verses (click the link). These were carefully chosen to root every scene in the truth of Scripture. We encourage you to explore them further for your own study and reflection. You will also find the synopsis below for a quick overview.
To all who helped with their time and talents in countless unseen ways, we offer a heartfelt thank you! To our behind the scenes volunteers—thank you. And of course, to our cast, who have given up many Sundays to bring this presentation to life—thank you.
As you watch this heartfelt offering, we invite you to pause, to ponder, to personally consider the truth and wonder of that empty tomb. Synopsis

Scene 1
A group of faithful women passionately share what they saw—an open grave, an angel, and the message that Jesus has risen. The crowd and the disciples react with a mix of emotions. Some are moved and begin to hope, while others question their story, dismissing it as nonsense or emotional distress.

Scene 2
After hearing the women's report, Peter and John run to the tomb to see for themselves. Confusion and amazement fill their hearts— they still don't fully understand what has happened.
Mary Magdalene, heartbroken and lingering near the tomb, weeps outside. She sees angels inside the tomb and turns to find someone she believes is the gardener. But when He speaks her name—"Mary"—she instantly recognises Him. -
Scene 3
In a powerful and unified moment, the disciples and crowd boldly declare the resurrection of Jesus, no longer living in fear or doubt. Individual disciples share personal testimonies of Jesus’s love and calling.
We invite you to ponder His Word and ask yourself if you truly believe and have hope in His resurrection.
